Reactive power compensation - metallurgical industry

Home / Case studies
PROJECT DETAILS:

Since 2016, ASO Cromsteel has decided to work with Servelect to increase the company’s energy efficiency and profitability by implementing solutions to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.

The high energy costs have led the company to put the collaboration with Servelect on the top of the priorities list.

In the absence of functional condenser batteries, one of the main factors that kept high energy costs was reactive energy.

Also, from the analysis of electrical consumption and related costs, we found out that the reactive energy was about 5% of the monthly electricity bill.

Therefore, the first implemented project with immediate and visible results in the energy bill was the reactive power compensation with automated condenser batteries.
